Trusting God in Confusion

Trusting God in Confusion

There are seasons in life when nothing seems certain. The road ahead looks foggy, the answers aren’t coming, and we’re left wondering what to do, where to go, or even who we are anymore. Confusion can feel overwhelming but it is also the place where our faith is tested.

Sometimes we expect that walking with God will mean always knowing exactly what to do. But in reality, God often leads us one step at a time, not showing us the whole picture, but inviting us to trust Him even into the unknown.

1 Corinthians 14:33 says:
“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace…”

God may allow us to walk through unclear seasons, but He is never confused. His timing is perfect, His plan is bigger than what we see, and His peace is available to us even when clarity is not. The enemy wants confusion to shake our faith, but God uses it to deepen our dependence on Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

When the way isn’t clear, we don't need all the answers, we just need to know the One who does. He sees the road ahead even when we can’t. Our job is not to figure everything out, but to keep showing up, keep praying, keep walking, and keep trusting.

Ask ourselves these questions daily...

  • Am I trying to force clarity instead of waiting on God’s direction?
  • Where do I need to release control and trust that God is working, even if I can't see it?

God is not lost. And because He’s not lost, neither are you. When the path isn’t clear, let your heart rest in the truth that He is still leading you.

Keep moving forward. Keep trusting. Keep walking.

Jeff
